Sikh marriage, known as "Anand Karaj," is a sacred and spiritual union that follows the teachings of Sikhism. This ceremony emphasizes equality, mutual respect, and devotion to God, as laid out in the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhs.

The Anand Karaj ceremony typically takes place in a Gurdwara, the Sikh place of worship. The main ritual involves the couple circumambulating the Guru Granth Sahib four times, known as "Laavaan."
